Panthers Lose, 8-2, at Swamp Foxes Stadium

The Pitman High Panthers went down to defeat to Dedrick Savage and his College teammates. The final score was 8-2 in favor of the Park. Savage went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 2-1. College occupies 4th place in the Hank Aaron League Bob Gibson Division at 13-14.
The Park got a big at-bat from right fielder Steve Ashton. For the game, Ashton went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 8th double of the season gave College a 3-0 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said College manager Mike Gauthier.
