Miyahira Slugs Swallows to 6-2 Win
Tooru Miyahira made an impact in the 6-2 Tokyo Yakult win over Hiroshima Toyo. Miyahira, who is the top prospect in the Swallows organization, was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Tokyo Yakult reliever Edolf Neels picked up the win to move to 1-0. Toshitaka Ito suffered the loss. The Swallows bumped their record to 24-21 with this latest triumph.

Iori Umeda, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Swallows organization, aided the Tokyo Yakult cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 2 with 3 walks.
