Ogura Goes Off, But Swallows Win
Despite a great performance by Hanshin right fielder Kiyonori Ogura, the Tokyo Yakult Swallows defeated the Tigers by the score of 13-11 at Rebels Ballpark. Ogura belted 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Matt Stevenson picked up the save for Tokyo Yakult, his 12th of the year. The Swallows bumped their record to 22-18 with this latest triumph.

Tokyo Yakult third baseman Pete Farthing delivered a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. Overall, he went 4 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and batted in 3.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Swallows manager Jay Churchill. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
