Taylor Dazzles in Yomiuri Win
The Yomiuri Giants did just enough to sneak past the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, 1-0, at Ballpark of Yamagata College. Yomiuri pitcher Gavin Taylor earned player of the game honors. Yomiuri has now won 7 straight.

Taylor gave Yomiuri a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Yomiuri manager Masato Ojima said.
