Victory Over Tornadoes Takes Hawaii to 50-33
|
The Hawaii Islanders knocked off the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-2, at Debris Field. Douglas Dannattet, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Hawaii won. The catcher went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. The Islanders bumped their record to 50-33 with this latest triumph.
The Islanders got a big at-bat from shortstop Tynan Miller. For the game, Miller was 1-3. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 92nd hit of the season gave Hawaii a 3-2 lead.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Hawaii manager Leland Ray.
