Swallows Win at Hanshin, 4-3

Fans who came to Ballpark of Otofuke College watched the Tokyo Yakult Swallows and the Hanshin Tigers fight to the finish.
Tokyo Yakult right-hander Hidenori Tomita made an effective start against the Hanshin Tigers at Ballpark of Otofuke College, leading his team to a 4-3 win. The Swallows bumped their record to 15-11 with this latest triumph.
Pete Farthing, who is tied for 5th in the CL in doubles with 7, chipped in for Tokyo Yakult with a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Farthing told the Tokyo Yakult Bulletin.
