Umeda Helps Swallows Run Win Streak to 3
The Tokyo Yakult Swallows beat the Yokohama Bay Stars, 10-4, at Rebels Ballpark. The Swallows got a fine performance from first baseman Iori Umeda, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Dae Che got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 6.2 innings. Tokyo Yakult has 3 straight wins, Yokohama 3 straight losses.

Umeda had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Swallows went on to win.
