Farthing, Swallows Too Much for Giants
|
The Tokyo Yakult Swallows bested the Yomiuri Giants by a score of 7-4, with third baseman Pete Farthing getting the main credit. On the day, Farthing went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Swallows. Matt Stevenson nailed down his 6th save. The Swallows bumped their record to 11-9 with this latest triumph.
Farthing had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring triple. The Swallows went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Farthing.
