Zhang Hits 2 home runs in Giants Win
|
The Yomiuri Giants defeated the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, 12-3, in Central League action at Rebels Ballpark, with Yomiuri left fielder Xiao-xuan Zhang named player of the game. Picking up the save was Shigeyori Shishido, his 1st. The Giants bumped their record to 13-6 with this latest triumph.
Early in the game, Zhang had a 3-run home run for Yomiuri. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Giants on top, 4-1.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Zhang.
