Swallows Lose, 5-3, at Frogs Ballpark
|
Hiroshima Toyo pitcher Takao Koyama did his part in helping his team beat the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Even with the win, the Carp have a dismal 4-11 record.
Ryuji Hayashida, who is tied for 6th in the CL in bases on balls with 9, aided the Hiroshima Toyo cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It feels good to get this one," Hayashida told the Hiroshima Toyo News.
