Hot Start Continues for Tigers

Mike Hollis pitched a gem to lead Hanshin to a 2-0 victory over the Yomiuri Giants. Hanshin reliever Keiichi Aoki picked up the win to move to 1-0. Tekkan Ishihara suffered the loss. Atsuya Suda got credit for the save for Hanshin. It was his 3rd of the year.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from catcher Chris Schrage. For the game, Schrage was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Hanshin a 2-0 lead.
"It's a mindset," said Hollis. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
Hanshin, now 7-2, has played well in the early going.
