Giants Lose, 5-3, at Ballpark of Otofuke College
|
The Hanshin Tigers picked up a win at Ballpark of Otofuke College, knocking off the Yomiuri Giants, 5-3. On the mound for Hanshin was right-hander Ryuzo Ishiguro, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6 innings, Ishiguro surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Hanshin, now 6-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Early in the game, right fielder Kiyonori Ogura had a run-scoring single for Hanshin. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Tigers on top, 1-0.
