Carp Topple Bay Stars as Nakano Shines
Carp left fielder Senta Nakano put his stamp on his team's 19-5 win over the Yokohama Bay Stars. Nakano was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Hiroshima Toyo in the contest. Hiroshima Toyo is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 5 games.

Yozo Kato, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Carp organization, aided the Hiroshima Toyo cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder went 1-1 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Carp manager Javier Quintana. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
