Buffaloes Fall to Miyamoto, Marines
The Chiba Lotte Marines downed the ORIX Buffaloes, 11-8, at Ballpark of Nasu College. The Marines were led by Kazushi Miyamoto, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The winner was Andy Bowersox, who threw 81 pitches over 5.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 7 hits. The win puts the Marines at 22-30, while the Buffaloes drop to 35-17.
