Fuego Win at Vancouver, 4-1

Santa Fe and Vancouver duked it out at "The Fort" at B.C. Place and the Fuego came out victorious.
The Santa Fe Fuego went home winners at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, thanks in large part to starter Juan Mendoza. Mendoza silenced the Vancouver Pioneers, enabling Santa Fe to grab the 4-1 win. Mendoza, now 10-7, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 1, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run.
The Fuego got a big at-bat from left fielder Jonathan Reynaud. For the game, Reynaud went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Santa Fe a 2-0 lead.
Reynaud called the win "a collective effort."
The Fuego now have a record of 40-43.
