Aces Squelch Hornets Offense in Shutout Win
Las Vegas Aces starter Yong-kook Chong was in fine form against the Eureka Hornets at The Nest, leading his team to a 5-0 win. Las Vegas reliever Andy Mendoza picked up the win to move to 2-1. Su-gyung Park suffered the loss. Even with the win, the Aces have a dismal 27-51 record.

Haruki Yoshino hit a run-scoring double off Su-gyung Park in the top of the seventh, which put the Aces in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Yoshino had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

Chong attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
