Buffaloes Come Back Late to Clip Lions
|
Terufumi Kubota helped his team muscle past the Saitama Seibu Lions, 2-1. In the game, the ORIX first baseman was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Travis Lapp earned his 11th save in 12 tries. The Buffaloes improved to a lofty 31-12.
Kubota had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Mikiya Kubo, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Buffaloes a 2-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Kubota.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Kubota. "More importantly, I had a good game."
