Andy Ludewig never let ORIX get something going. The Saitama Seibu left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Lions to a 2-0 win. Saitama Seibu is now 12-18, ORIX 21-9.
Takahiko Shimabukuro, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Lions organization, aided the Saitama Seibu cause with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run.
