Billings West beat Downsview at Visigoths Stadium, escaping with a 12-11 win. The win in large part was due to second baseman Jon Reyes, who earned player of the game honors. He went 4-5 with 2 triples, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. Billings West leads the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division by 3 games.

Had Brian Little not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Little hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 12-11, in favor of the Golden Bears.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Little said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
