Weber Helps Downsview Cruise to 15-3 Win
The umbrellas came out during the Downsview-Canby contest at Visigoths Stadium.

Mustangs shortstop Jack Weber put his stamp on his team's 15-3 win over the Canby Lancers. Weber was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Downsview in the contest. The winner was Chris Lawson, who threw 109 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits.

Weber had no bigger at-bat than in the bottom of the third when the 16-year old shortstop hit a double. The double gave Downsview the lead, 1-0. It was his 6th double of the season.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Downsview manager Ralph Prince.
