Elliott Helps Grand Island Outscore Seminole
The Grand Island Islanders topped the Seminole Warhawks, 13-10, with youngster Daniel Elliott playing a key role. Elliott went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Islanders in the win. Justin Sullins got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 1. When the Islanders needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Elliott who delivered. Facing Seminole pitcher Javier Torres the bottom of the fourth with the bases loaded, Elliott hit his 6th home run of the year. It made the score 8-1.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Elliott said.
