Lancers Lose, 5-4, at Visigoths Stadium
The Downsview Mustangs scored a 5-4 win versus the Canby Lancers at Visigoths Stadium. Downsview right fielder Karl Holman nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Downsview reliever Dusty Vaughn got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Shane Rhinehart was tagged with the loss. Earning his 6th save for Downsview was Matt Cassidy.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from shortstop Ken Ford. For the game, Ford was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Downsview a 3-2 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Downsview manager Ralph Prince.

The Mustangs bumped their record to 13-11 with this latest triumph.
