Santa Clara and Topeka West put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Vampires faced a stiff challenge from Topeka West pitcher Ryan Montgomery, but persevered to claim a win at Breakers Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Montgomery went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Sergio Sambueso picked up the save, his 2nd.
Jahiem Parrish, who is tied for 8th in the PRL with a .742 slugging percentage, aided the Santa Clara cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
