Victory Pushes Indians Record to 14-9
|
Indians third baseman Mike Everett put his stamp on his team's 8-3 win over the Carl Albert Titans. Everett was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Jefferson in the contest. The current losing streak for Carl Albert has reached 4 games.
When the Indians needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Everett who delivered. Facing Carl Albert pitcher Kevin Perry the top of the third with the bases loaded, Everett hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 5-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Everett told the Jefferson Daily News.
