It was a good time at Chickenhawks Stadium, where fans came to watch the College Park and Jacksonville State Jaguars get after it.
Starting pitcher Alex Bouchard pitched well enough to help the Jacksonville State Jaguars beat the College Park by the score of 4-3. Jacksonville State reliever Richard Robison was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Steve McLean. Paul Robinson picked up the save, his 3rd.
Jeremy Conrad drew 3 walks in 4 plate appearances for Jacksonville State. The 15-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Steve McLean. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said College skipper Mike Gauthier, "and it cost us."
Even with the win, the Jaguars have a dismal 6-17 record.
