The Riverside Poly got a superb performance from pitcher Chris Anderson, but the San Marin Mustangs still won the game, 4-2. Anderson was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The win boosts the Mustangs to 12-10. The loss puts the Poly at 11-11.
San Marin designated hitter Cody Wallace contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Wallace went 1 for 4.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said San Marin manager Marcus Piscitelli.
