Multi-HR Game for Hartshorn in 6-5 Win
|
Riverside and Francis Lewis duked it out at Apollos Ballpark and the Poly came out victorious.
The Riverside Poly bested the Francis Lewis Patriots by a score of 6-5, with third baseman Adam Hartshorn getting the main credit. On the day, Hartshorn hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Poly. B.J. Dyke got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Hartshorn had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Josh Crago, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Poly a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Hartshorn.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hartshorn. "And not try to do too much."
The Poly bumped their record to 11-10 with this latest triumph.
