Tenafly Wins, Rodda hits 10th home run
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Tristan Rodda was instrumental in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Grand Island Islanders. The third baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Tenafly Tigers. Matt Tanner earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Jermaine Williams nailed down his 1st save.
Billy Horowitz chipped in for Tenafly with a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
