Topeka West Wins, Gephardt goes 4-for-5
The Topeka West Chargers defeated the Jefferson Indians, 17-4, in Pete Rose League action at Ballpark of Monterrey HS, with Topeka West second baseman Neil Gephardt named player of the game. Josh Kennedy, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 2-2. With the win, the Chargers improved to 9-11.

The Chargers got a big at-bat from center fielder Matt Bengston. For the game, Bengston went 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
