Panthers Roll Over Tigers, 11-3
|
Pleasantville played host to Tenafly at the friendly confines of Stealth Ballpark.
The Pleasantville Panthers defeated the Tenafly Tigers, 11-3, at Stealth Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Pleasantville was right fielder Jeremy Neal. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was Phil Ebert, his 1st.
Jesus Torres was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Pleasantville. The 16-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Kyle Spraggs. It was his 5th RBI of the season.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Neal said.
Pleasantville has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
