Great Day for Wakeley in Lions Win
The Lerna Lions defeated the Riverside Poly, 9-2, at Apollos Ballpark. Lerna first baseman Nate Wakeley was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Lerna currently is in 4th place in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division at 10-9.

With Lerna leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Wakeley hit a fastball from John Radtke for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Lions ahead, 4-1.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Wakeley said. "We did a good job of that today."
