6 Straight Wins for Patriots

The Francis Lewis Patriots topped the Enterprise Hornets, 4-3, in Pete Rose League action at Ottawa HS Grounds. The player of the game was Francis Lewis pitcher Don Tufts. The first-place Patriots now have a 6-game winning streak.
The Patriots got a big at-bat from right fielder Tim Croix. For the game, Croix was 1-4. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 19th hit of the season gave Francis Lewis a 2-1 lead.
"I like the roll we're on," said Francis Lewis manager Justin Easton.
