Victory Over Mustangs Takes Seminole to 14-4
A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Joe Renken, who is tied for 9th in the HAL in home runs with 5, led the Seminole Warhawks to a 14-2 win over the Downsview Mustangs. Kyle Mitchell got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 11 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Seminole has an impressive 14-4 record.

Randy Schrader, who leads the HAL in stolen bases with 5, aided the Seminole cause with a 2-run single in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a walk and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Downsview manager Ralph Prince called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
