The Kearny High Cardinals topped the Lerna Lions, 5-3, in Hank Aaron League action at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. The player of the game was Kearny High pitcher David Mincer. The Cardinals bumped their record to 9-9 with this latest triumph.

With one out in the top of the fourth, Zachery Beaty stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put Kearny High in front, 2-1.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Mincer.
