Chris Newman had a good game, but he could not keep the Tioga Central Tigers from falling, 7-6, to the Riverside Poly at Alleycats Ballpark. The Tioga Central right fielder belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice in the loss. Tioga Central is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.

Riverside used the timely hitting of Tristan Erdahl to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Poly on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Erdahl.
