The Kearny High Cardinals picked up a win at Visigoths Stadium, knocking off the Downsview Mustangs, 10-1. Starting pitcher Matt Marsh played a key role in the triumph. The Cardinals bumped their record to 8-8 with this latest triumph.

Travis Duchesneau, who is tied for 4th in the HAL with a 1.252 OPS, aided the Kearny High cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Marsh said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
