Patriots Roll Over Golden Bears, 9-1
|
Francis Lewis designated hitter Matt Bass was instrumental in his team's 9-1 win over the Billings West Golden Bears. Bass, who is tied for 10th in the PRL in runs scored with 16, went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Patriots. Picking up the save was Josh Crago, his 1st. Francis Lewis has 3 straight wins, Billings West 3 straight losses.
Bobby Shaner, who is tied for 9th in the PRL with a .500 on-base percentage, aided the Francis Lewis cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Francis Lewis manager Justin Easton.
