Patriots Walk Off with Win
The Francis Lewis Patriots electrified the home crowd at Ottawa HS Grounds with a walk-off win.

The Francis Lewis Patriots did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Billings West Golden Bears at Ottawa HS Grounds. Nobody did more than center fielder Er Zong, who captured player of the game honors. Francis Lewis reliever Marshall McAuley was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Justin Christensen took the loss.

The Patriots got a big at-bat from designated hitter Matt Bass. For the game, Bass was 2 for 6 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 15th hit of the season gave Francis Lewis a 6-5 lead.

"This joint was rocking," said Bass.

The Patriots bumped their record to 7-7 with this latest triumph.
