Sasquatch Walk Off with Win
|
Sasquatch shortstop Francisco Valdéz put his stamp on his team's 7-6 win over the Georgia Grays. Valdéz went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Seattle in the contest. The win was Hisataro Sato's in relief. His record improves to 7-4. Carl Bragg took the loss for Georgia. The 5th-place Sasquatch lifted their record to 34-43.
Rob Leibbrandt was the walk-off hero for Seattle. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sasquatch right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Leibbrandt told a Seattle Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
