The inspired effort of Tioga Central third baseman Elijah Rice was not enough to prevent a 9-5 loss to the Tenafly Tigers. Rice went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The Tigers drop to 6-6 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.

Michael Corrie, who is tied for 3rd in the PRL in bases on balls with 12, aided the Tenafly cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Corrie.
