Panthers Lose, 9-8, at Visigoths Stadium
The Derby Panthers and Downsview Mustangs cranked it up at Visigoths Stadium.

The Downsview Mustangs downed the Derby Panthers, 9-8, at Visigoths Stadium. The Mustangs were led by Peyton Miller, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The save was Matt Cassidy's, his 5th.

Miller had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 fastball from Steve Lusk, he banged a bases-clearing double to left, giving the Mustangs a 8-7 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Miller.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Miller said.

The Panthers fall to 4-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.
