Chargers Get One-Run Win at Billings West
The Topeka West Chargers did just enough to sneak past the Billings West Golden Bears, 5-4, at Guadalajara HS Grounds. Topeka West pitcher David Sadler earned player of the game honors. Andrew Morris earned save number 4. The loss drops Billings West to 7-4.

Had Gil Mitchell not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Mitchell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Chargers.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mitchell. "And not try to do too much."
