Mustangs Win Thriller, 5-4
|
The San Marin Mustangs downed the Carl Albert Titans, 5-4, at Silvertips Ballpark. The Mustangs were led by Mario Pimentel, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. San Marin reliever Iestyn Milward got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Matthew Miller was tagged with the loss. San Marin goes to 8-3 with the win.
Karl Larson was the walk-off hero for San Marin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mustangs shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring triple to send the teams home.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Pimentel said.
