|
The Texans had to overcome a fine performance from Kansas City pitcher Pero Donini to grab a 4-3 win at Metroplex Park. Donini allowed 4 earned runs over 5 innings. Dallas reliever Ashoka Pancholi was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Pero Donini took the loss. Adrien Clément notched his 7th save in 9 chances.
Michael Fitzgerald aided the Dallas cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-3 with a double.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Fitzgerald. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Dallas has now won 5 straight.
