Wakeley 3-4, Lions Move to 6-4
The Lerna Lions defeated the Tioga Central Tigers, 12-9, in Pete Rose League action at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS, with Lerna first baseman Nate Wakeley named player of the game. Lerna reliever Jake Lott got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Ed Swearingen was tagged with the loss. Lerna, now 6-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Wakeley had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 curveball from Ed Swearingen, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Lions a 10-8 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Wakeley.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Wakeley.
