The College Park and Kearny High Cardinals played an exciting game at Swamp Foxes Stadium.
The College Park topped the Kearny High Cardinals by the score of 4-3, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Enrique Jaime. Jaime went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk for the Park. Isaiah Wynter, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 12 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-1. Earning his 3rd save for College was Bobby Gilbert.
The Park got a big at-bat from shortstop Brian Fay. For the game, Fay was 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave College a 3-1 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Kearny High skipper Seth Richert, "and it cost us."
The Park are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 10 games.
