Arnold Layne made an impact in the 6-1 Bloomington win over Vancouver. Layne went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Pedro Vazquez was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 1 run on 9 hits, with no walks and 7 strikeouts. The Blazers raised their record to 5-3.

Layne had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Tony Velázquez, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Blazers a 2-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Layne.
