The Georgia Grays saddled the Seattle Sasquatch with a loss at Sick's Stadium. The final score was 6-5. German Salazar, named player of the game, was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Georgia designated hitter scored 2 runs and drove in 1. The Grays saw their win-loss record go to 38-39. At the same time, the Sasquatch fell to 33-43.
The Grays got a big at-bat from first baseman Jorge García. For the game, García was 1-5. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season gave Georgia a 4-3 lead.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Salazar told the Georgia Daily News. "Whatever it takes."
