Mustangs Turn Back Jacksonville State, 6-4
|
San Marin Mustangs starter Nick Mullin was in fine form against the Jacksonville State Jaguars at Silvertips Ballpark, leading his team to a 6-4 win. San Marin, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Martin Torres was a key contributor to the win for the Mustangs. In the bottom of the second with two out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to center. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Enjoyed this one," Mullin told the San Marin Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
