The Portland Beavers picked up a win at Waterfront Park, knocking off the Eureka Hornets, 6-4. Starting pitcher Yoshiaki Kojima, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Beavers now have a record of 38-40 with the win over Eureka.

Ralph Blair, who is tied for 9th in the RCL with a .310 batting average, aided the Portland cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Blair. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
